You can be confident our recipes are carefully designed for your dining pleasure. For four decades, we have offered a wide choice of savoury crepes in the cosy comfortable atmosphere of a family business. Let us spoil you with our traditional, creative and sometimes audacious accompaniments.

You have our guarantee that the pure buckwheat galettes are all preservative-free, prepared with Guérande sea salt “Label Rouge”. Relax and enjoy a sunny, seasonably warmed terrace with southern exposure, overlooking a beautifully reed garden.

Since 1975

First, a little history …

 

Creation

Converted over the years by Mr. and Mrs. Durand, which they opened as a business on July 6th 1975. The “creperie l’Hermine” was a traditional Breton home.

History

Mrs. Durand was surely the first Breton to recreate and enhance the traditional buckwheat flat cake (“galette de sarrasin”) with a new way of cooking and garnishing. Their daughter Laëtitia Hamon took up the torch with her husband Gael in 2002 after apprenticing with her parents for several years, both in the kitchen and out on the floor.

A new look

In 2002, after 14 years of family tradition, the restaurant expanded to 3 separate locations and redecorated with 3 different atmospheres but always one leitmotiv: our customers’ satisfaction.

Space

We take great pride in the fidelity our customers have perpetuated from generation to generation. Children play in the fully secure landscaped garden (2000 square meters) in full view of their parents and access is easy with our 2500 square meters of private parking. There are shady and sunny areas for client relaxation while imbibing aperitifs or post-meal digestives (cf wine menu, ciders, alcohols).

Products

We propose exclusively buckwheat and wheat “galettes”, salted or sweet. There are plain, of course, or garnished with classical and traditional products, pan-seared foie gras, burgundy snails flavoured with garlic, scallops, white truffle slivers, marinated sardines, saté or curry chicken, salted butter caramel, apples, strawberries, pecan nuts, speculoos, etc.

Quality

The “creperie l’Hermine” has been a team of master restaurateurs since 2010. We work only with local products, Guérande sea salt “Label Rouge”, local ciders, Saint-Malo vegetables, etc.

Service

We offer autumn/winter and spring/summer menus as well as additional suggestions on slate.
